We offer both Category C, and Category C + E training and deliver both to a high standard. We have 45 nationwide training centres giving you access to get involved with our HGV Training Courses easily, no matter where you live throughout the UK.

Course Schedule

We believe that a structured and well thought out training procedure is key to help you learn your new HGV driving skill. We put our years of experience to work to make sure that you receive the gold standard of training you deserve, and give you the best chance of passing your test first time!

We follow a 9 step procedure to get the license passed, and get you off and away into your new career. After you finish the course, we’ll support you with a dedicated job search service, CV check and send service, and weekly recruitment updates. Add onto this help with your covering letter and interview technique, and you’ve got a fully supported service from start to finish. To join us, just enrol onto the course of your choice. We’ll then send you everything you need to get started.

UK HGV Training’s experience means that we understand that choosing a HGV Training provider is a complicated decision – we’ve been there. That’s why we offer a complete service, so you’ve always got a helping hand when you need it. Whether you are looking to drive on local deliveries, or looking to get out on the open road in Europe with a large haulage company, our courses will make sure you’re ready for the road ahead.

Course Differences

After you’ve registered with us, you’ll start to think about which license you want to gain, and how quickly you want it done. We offer two main licenses, which can be obtained through a number of different ways.

Completing a Category C Course will mean that you’re able to drive any Rigid Body Vehicle (also known as a Class 2 or LGV). These are predominantly used for local companies, making local deliveries. This area of the industry of late has experienced an increase in demand. Alternatively, a Category C + E Training Course will mean that you are permitted to drive an articulated vehicle (often referred to as a Class 1 or HGV) and carry vast amounts of goods up and down the country.

However, to complete the C+E license, you are required to have completed a Category C Licence first. We are currently offering both courses as a Back To Back course to ensure a smooth transition from one vehicle to the next, and cutting down the wait between licenses, meaning you can reach the higher earning potential of a C+E (HGV) Driver in a shorter timeframe.

Due to new legislation, you may need to gain a Driver CPC Initial Qualification, depending on when you passed your Car test. This is a bit like a permit to work as a professional HGV Driver, but we’ll run through this legislation with you when you register with us.
